R. Dennis Stickley is referred to as "Master of the Horse" because of his unparalleled ability to understand and work with the equine mentality.
Dennis, as he is known by his friends, began working with horses at a very young age. Having been classically trained, he has coached horses and riders in Dressage to the Grand Prix level and beyond. He is also known for his consistent success in coaching Jumpers and Hunters on the A circuit. His coaching in the early 70s led the Pickering Pony Club to a regional victory and 4th in the nationals. Mr. Stickley's teaching philosophy is to create a partnership between the horse and rider. "Lessons and horse training should be neither boring nor grueling. The entire horse/rider experience should be pleasurable and it is the job of a good instructor to make it that way."
